We suggest to use high tensile grade 10.9 or 12.9 bolts due to Caterpillar D9 blade edge works under huge impact load. Old bolts often fatigue, so it is better to replace new bolts together while changing cutting edges and end bits. Besides ,it is important to confirm raw material grade and heat treatment process with supplier. Real full through-hardened boron steel edge has uniform hardness through the whole plate. Surface-only hardened edges wear quickly and bend easily under D9 heavy mining load.
