Proper installation and maintenance are crucial for extending the service life of D10 bulldozer cutting edges and end bits:
1: Installation torque: Fastening bolts must be tightened in a diagonal crossing pattern in multiple passes, with final torque controlled within 180–220 N·m.
2: Regular inspection: Periodically monitor cutting edge width. Rotate when worn to approximately 34 cm; replace when worn to approximately 28 cm.
3: Wear management: Wear on each side should not exceed 7.5 cm to avoid excessive base edge wear causing premature cutting edge breakage.
4: Replacement criteria: Replace immediately when through-cracks, large chips, extensive corner breakage, or severe plate warping causing gaps between the edge and blade base are observed.
